PDT standards and products attract great attention paid  by  wireless  communication  industry

Approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, hosted by China Radio Association, the "2010 China wireless technology and application conference " was held in Beijing on 1^st and 2^nd of September 2010. As a new generation digital trunking communication standards for police use, the PDT (Police Digital Trunking) attracted participants’ great concern at the conference, including government officials, domestic and foreign users, venture capitalists, experts etc.

At the meeting, Ma Xiaodong, Chief Engineer of Science and Technology Information Bureau under Ministry of Public Security, made the key subject speech on PDT-Chinese police digital trunking, introducing the development background, technical characteristics, progress situation of the police wireless communication digital trends and PDT standards and future broadband evolution. Ma Xiaodong pointed out that, in recent years, the demand for public security wireless communications is continuously growing, but currently the simulation trunking, simulated convention are main for the adopted 350 trillion communication system at present, there are issues of frequency resources in short supply, insufficient capacity of the system and cannot be encrypted. The PDT standards led and developed by the Ministry of Public Security are characterized by powerful function, able to achieve a smooth transition from the simulation to the digit, with home-made encryption mechanism, single cell low cost, not only can effectively solve the above problems, but also better protect the investments in existing systems, which are more in line with the actual need of China's vast, complex terrain. The PDT will be developed into a national recommended standard for digital trunking in the future, realizing the leap of "made in China" to "Chinese creation".

"China's wireless technology and application conference" has been successfully held for 11 sessions, the purpose of the conference is to exhibit the latest achievements and trend of development of radio technology through technology exchange and product exhibition and demonstration, so as to promote the development of radio technology and its application. The conference gives full play to the " domestic authority industry platform"  to provide a broad exchange platform for the radio industry, and played a good role in promoting and enhancing the overall development of the domestic radio undertaking.
